The country has launched a program Study in India, which aims to popularize universities and colleges in the country among foreign students.
The government and relevant ministries are planning to bring the number of foreign students in educational institutions of India to 200 thousand people within 5 years.
The program is designed to attract the youth of the Asian region, including Malaysia, Thailand, Kuwait, Iran, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Bhutan, Sri Lanka and Kazakhstan, a total of 30 countries. For students from these countries will be created a simplified visa regime, assistance in accommodation and accommodation, as well as adjusting tuition prices to make them the most attractive in comparison to competitors.
The program involves 160 educational institutions from across India, including the Indian Institute of Sciences in Bangalore and the Delhi and Mumbai Institutes of Technology.
Sushma Swaraj, India’s foreign minister, said the Study in India portal plays a major role in promoting the project, allowing applicants to choose a city and institution, decide on a program and get all the information they need.

Sushma Swaraj stressed that India is one of the few places in the world “where ancient traditions and modernity exist in harmony.
